'Singaporeans support the use of GM food as a solution to food security.' Food security refers to the availability of food and one's access to it.
Simply to put, people would consume Genetically Modified food to protect the countries' food supplies from decreasing.
Assignment:
(a) To research on existing literature (e.g. reports, interviews etc) on GM food.
(b) To collect primary data and information from online forum/blog by inviting the public to share their thoughts on GM food.
(c) To prepare a report based on analysis of data collected and literature reviewed.
Would you rather support the use of GM food as a solution to food security or not?

myself as a singaporean.. i will support the use of genetically modified foods(GM foods). basically GM food are produced for the better. no one wants to make food that not edible. isn't that common sense.with GM food there will be a better variety of food that suits people preference.
many people think that, '' OMG ITS GM FOOD! PEOPLE HAS ADDED DRUGS IN TO MY FOOD'' but we must stop before thinking any further. why would anyone wanna make food that harmul. :D so if i m given GM food, i will go for it.
just imagine:
If KFC uses GM food TO PRODUCE CHICKENS THAT ARE BIG, FAT and succelent. would u resist eating it? you would prolly thinking, SO WAD IF IT IS GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOOD. zz
i also believe that GM foods are cleaner because some food are made to be resistant to pests. =)

i agree that THE USE OF GM FOOD IS A SOLUTION TO FOOD SECURITY
GM food is a better food supply, it allows our food to be more nutritious(I think) and look much more delicious.
GM food are also healthier as I've read that anti-pest,anti-freeze, etc. have been added to different GM food, which would greatly aid its healthy growth; plus ensuring the growth of the food would be successful.
Thus, I agree that GM food is a solution to food security.
Nice report.I will support more on the use of Genetically modified foods as i think that it is must cleaner and much more healthier.
I supported genetically modified foods are good because we can have a better, cleaner, more nutrition values.so why not ?
Well, i think i support GM food because our human population is getting more. As in if we keep on not improving ourselves, we'll lose out.
i guess i support GM food as it allows our food to be more tastier and most probably healthier as well. GM foods can also be used to siut the eating prefernces of people.
i agree to the above that GM is a good alternative. with more people in the world the food demand is getting higher. IT IS MADE TO A HIGHER ACCURANCY OF DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD WITHIN THE PREFERENCE OF OTHERS SO DOES THE WORLD :D. so ya, it will benefit to others. with such a high development of technology everything is possible.
i will support the use of GM foods.
although there are risks, i am sure that by the time it is released to the public i gues it will be well cleaned and well examined. so wads the problem? any objections? i dun think so?
I do not agree that genetically modified food is safe due to difference in appearance and it may cause allergy reaction to some people which will cause deaths if not treated immediately.However if the people are able to proof that it is 100% safe, why not?!
er i totally hate GM food because it is not a good altenative. it may be able to replace the food products in the world but it will also take up alot of money. Do you noe that GM food seeds are seld according to a contract? when you buy them you cannot reuse the seeds that are being produced. it means you have to buy new seeds every year. THATS A WASTE OF MONEY. the conventional way is way better and much tradition. it may give you high accurancy of productivity against preference, it may also be safe but have you wondered how much money is there in your pocket.?? if farmers are going buy seeds every year its going to be expensive and the price of food will increase. :D

I think gm foods not bad lah . Gm food at least is a food mah , as gm food is a food then just eat lor dont think too much , wont die one but if you dont eat maybe you will die of starvation.Less Develop Countries like ethiopia their people have nothing to eat even worse right ?

I think GM food is good as if we do not have enough food in the future, it can be an alternative way.
Also, we can enhance the flavour, colour and etc to our liking.
